Banana Blossom Salads is a premium quick-service restaurant that combines authentic Asian flavours with a modern, fresh take on food-on-the-go. Over the past 15 years the founders have worked to reinvent salads by combining the Asian cuisine with fresh Australian ingredients to bring their customers a truck load of tasty.

Mana was presented with the opportunity to rebrand and update their core messaging. We went from green, fresh and healthy to absolutely delicious. This messaging has been updated across all communication channels. Banana Blossom have enlisted us to support graphics design work, social media management, direct and digital marketing campaigns.

Another big part of our work is supporting with franchise opportunities. Digital advertisement, social media and public relations are just some of the tools that have helped the business grow across Australia.

Brandon Capital is a venture capital firm that manages Brandon BioCatalyst (formerly the MRCF), Australia and New Zealand’s largest life science investment fund, with more than $700 million under management.

Mana provide Brandon Capital with strategic communications support including PR, brand and digital. The communication efforts help to raise awareness of Brandon as leaders in the life sciences sector and to communicate the message of the companies they invest in and the difference they make to the lives of patients globally. Mana also works closely with each of the 40+ investment companies within the Brandon portfolio, providing ongoing communications support.




Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) is the federation of 105 Alzheimer's associations around the world in official relations with the World Health Organization. ADI's vision is prevention, care and inclusion today, and cure tomorrow. ADI believes that the key to winning the fight against dementia lies in a unique combination of global solutions and local knowledge.

Mana works with ADI on many global reaching stories – a unique skill set of a small boutique agency based in the Antipodes. ADI’s annual report has been a focus of our communications efforts with the aim of using advocacy to push opinions on Alzheimer and Dementia awareness.

The Mana team have mastered the art of navigating through multiple time-zones and language barriers to deliver high level coverage on the report. Our work with ADI spans almost every continent around the world, and our team delivers consistent results especially in key markets in the UK, North America and Asia. Tailoring our communication efforts to each specific country aids with the securing of this high-level coverage.

Mana has worked on communicating key stories for AMEX across the Asia Pacific region, covering key markets in Australia, New Zealand, China, India & Singapore. 

As well as handling all media strategy, planning and relations in the region, our mandate also included the development of marketing initiatives, industry whitepapers, social media, media training and advisory to senior executives.


Callaghan Innovation is New Zealand’s innovation agency. It activates innovation and helps businesses grow faster for a better New Zealand. The government agency partners with ambitious businesses of all sizes, delivering a range of innovation and research and development (R&D) services to suit each stage of their growth.

Our team kicked off working with Callaghan Innovation by supporting the media launch of their first ever Waste-to-Value report, which took a deep dive into NZ’s growing CleanTech ecosystem. We also drove the media strategy for Southern SaaS, Callaghan Innovation’s annual sold out Software-as-a-Service event.

Mana provides event communications, strategic media relations, content creation, stakeholder communications planning, and big picture comms strategy development. 





The J R McKenzie Trust is a philanthropic funding trust, supporting social causes in Aotearoa for over 80 years. J R McKenzie is widely known for funding groups that often struggle to attain grants elsewhere, specifically working with organisations that align with their vision of a socially just and inclusive Aotearoa.

Mana’s work with J R McKenzie Trust is specifically to support the initiatives of their Māori development subcommittee, Te Kāwai Toro. This has involved a multitude of services including website development, newsletter content creation, and strategic media relations.


Mana considers it a privilege to work with Te Kāwai Toro, and are thankful for the opportunity to exercise our skills in Māori engagement. The approach we take is to listen with care to the stories of the rōpū Te Kāwai Toro works with. We ensure their stories are handled correctly and that tikanga is adhered to every step of the way. Mana works diligently to protect these stories and the mana of these rōpū, and share their inspiring stories in a meaningful way.



Fibre Optics

The Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies is one of New Zealand's ten publicly funded Centres of Research Excellence. The institute aims to produce the next generation of light sources for scientific and industrial applications and harness the quantum world of atomic physics for the new wave of quantum technology.

Mana have assisted the Dodd-Walls Centre in launching an inaugural report profiling the state and size of the photonics industry in Australia and New Zealand, leveraged events and news to increase both the centre’s profile, and public awareness of quantum physics and photonics research in New Zealand. Utilising our networks of journalists, we have secured coverage for the centre on every national media format from print, to digital, to radio and the two biggest morning news television shows in the country – TVNZ’s Breakfast and TV3’s AM Show. 

We also led the development of a new corporate website and managed the Dodd-Walls annual academic symposium event in collaboration with Radio New Zealand’s Smart Talks series. 


Creative HQ, Wellington’s innovation hub, operates throughout New Zealand and internationally across the Asia-Pacific region and supports start-up founders through acceleration and incubation programmes. They look to build confidence, capability and connectedness throughout their ecosystem while looking to inspire and support the growth of individuals and businesses through the use of design thinking methodologies.

They are the largest provider of structured innovation programmes in New Zealand. This work includes structured innovation workshops, sprints, programmes and events for government, corporates and startups. Their expertise has developed over a 17-year period of operating in this field.

The Opportunities Party (TOP) is one of New Zealand’s fastest growing independent political parties. Largely a volunteer-based party, TOP relied heavily on media attention to cut through the crowded political media landscape throughout the 2020 election season.

TOP came to us with a full plate, tasking us with handling their creative vision and media strategies for their 2020 election campaign. Despite the challenges posed by a limited budget, TOP needed consistent breakthrough with their policies and guidance with creative content to drive awareness.

TOP’s campaign was largely based around high level writing and a hounding attitude to pitching journalists. Breaking through to mainstream media gave TOP the platform they needed to be recognized as a legitimate contender in the general and electorate votes.


Brix Distillers is an urban rum distillery and cellar door in the heart of Sydney focused on producing premium Australian rums and educating sophisticated consumers. Brix is inviting a new generation to share their passion for a rum revival.

Brix Distillers faced the first release of their own locally distilled rum and came to us to support with investor relation efforts. This has involved updating a current investor deck, the development of core messaging and brand positioning. 





Bicycles Online is an Australian company created after its founders realised the retail market for complete bikes was one of the few markets globally where you couldn’t purchase top quality brands online. With a spotlight on the industry through a sales boom during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bicycles Online wanted to cement their position in the sector and grow their brand awareness and reputation. 

Mana developed a media and communications strategy establishing the founders and the brand as an authority on retail, industry expertise, and commentator on cycling infrastructure and policy reform. The activity lead to extensive top-tier media coverage and bolstered their position as a prominent industry figurehead.


At the heart of Aotearoa’s geothermal region lies Polynesian Spa, a world-class, luxury hot pool and natural mineral bathing retreat, nestled on the shores of Lake Rotorua. Polynesian Spa has been operating for over 50 years, becoming a cultural landmark within the tourism hotspot of Rotorua.
As a tourism operator in a tourism city, it’s important to stand out above the rest. Mana has blended the cultural relevancy and high-quality service of Polynesian Spa to gain consistent coverage of the establishment over the last three years. 

This winter, Mana ran a digital campaign focused on driving awareness and traffic to Polynesian Spa’s website. This process saw us creating visual content, ad copy and handling digital spend. This helped grow Polynesian Spa’s digital footprint.
